So I'm guessing that means getting more than 1 of these is completely useless. I honestly don't see that there was a problem in the first place. And the Philosopher's Stone nerf is probably going to make Alistar's roam go from "strong" to "useless" because now he won't have any gold.

"Nerf tanky DPS" indeed, Riot. Enabling healing even if damage is shielded is such a big blow to Tanky DPS.

And @#$% Yorick the Grave N!gger, I want my freaking Leona.

Yeah getting more than 1 is now just a waste. It was a problem because it was giving gold AND too many bonuses at the same time.

It was one of the many reasons why tanky DPS was just tanky. Get a few HoG and start building a DPS item and full on tank. You got the early HP to survive and be more tanky early game whilst getting that great amount of Gold/per5 then insta buy that FoN or something.

Alistair is not going from 'strong' to 'useless'. Thats a really bias opinion. Alistair is still going to be a strong roamer. Its just that his Gold/Per5 is now limited so her has to stay in lane a bit longer or get more successful ganks out. He's not 'useless' now cause of his items. What makes him a strong roamer is his utility he brings.

The healing off shields was not intended for tanky DPS?
It was so that you still heal even if the damage was shielded cause damaged that was shielded didnt generate any heal which was kinda stupid since you technically did damage.

Yeah, guess I'm bitching a bit because I used to get Philo Stone and Kage's on my first trip back as Alistar and then go Headbutt rape on everything.

I don't see how healing even when damage is shielded is designed to be "hurt" tanky DPS. For example, if Irelia gets to heal a shit-ton when she blasts her ult off and survives a 3v1 gank, that's some horseshit. She's already pulling it off, so allowing her to heal more doesn't seem very fair.

That shield healing wasn't in any way directed at tanky DPS.

It was never intended to hurt tanky DPS. It was to set things straight cause some champs with inert ls/sv and/or items with ls/sv weren't siphoning life from damaging shields which really should be healing.

Now they just made it so it does what's it meant to do, obtain HP from a % of damage you do depending on the ls/sv % instead of only damage that actually hurts the other champ.

And they really won't nerf tanky DPS hardcore. If they do proper tanks get gimped if tanky items are more expensive which tanks are already having trouble to farm for.

I don't like the new way with sheilds, sheilds should be non-hp, you cant steal life from magic sheilds wat the fuck riot. Also pretty much every passive normally removed by auto attacks/spells that would persist if the dmg was sheilded, no longer persists under a sheild. It makes sense because riot wants lol to be a quick non turtle game but makes no sense as to how sheilds have always been handled in every rpg game ever. sadface.
